Florida’s unique environment ​makes it a global treasure – and ​is a key driver of our economic ​prosperity and tourism in Florida. ​Unlike the current administration, ​I understand climate change is ​real, and intend on passing ​science backed legislation to ​protect our environment.

Lower the Cost of ​Homeowner’s Insurance

The average cost of ​homeowner's insurance has gone ​up by 102% over the past three ​years. Right now, the average ​Florida homeowner pays $6,000 ​for insurance, which is more than ​3 times the national average of ​$1,700 in the U.S. Florida needs ​a more robust disaster relief ​fund in order to lower the costs ​of insurance premiums.

Strengthen our ​Democracy

Extreme right-wing politicians ​have made it harder for people ​to vote in Florida. They are ​afraid of real democracy and ​want a government that serves ​big corporations, lobbyists, and ​CEOs instead of the people. I ​intend on making it easier for ​every Floridian to vote.

Take the Money out of ​Politics

Representatives should stand ​up for their constituents, not ​for big money or political ​extremes. Most people in ​Florida have views that are in ​the middle and don't want ​special interest groups making ​decisions for them. That's why I ​promise not to take money ​from Super PACs and to vote ​based on what I believe is ​right, not what the elites want.

Stop Over-Development

Unfortunately, the current ​administration has prioritized ​special interest development ​over the interests of Floridians. I ​intend on working to repeal HB ​781 which allows governmental ​entities to proceed with an ​unsolicited proposal for a ​public-private partnership ​without engaging in a public ​bidding process, as previously ​required.

Protect Women’s Rights ​and Autonomy

I stand firmly in support of ​women’s access to ​contraception, IVF, and medical ​procedures including abortion. ​These interventions are crucial ​for women who may lose their ​life to pregnancy. The decision ​to undergo pregnancy belongs ​to women, not politicians.
